Psychotherapists
Psychotherapists are registered under the Psychotherapy Act, 2007 and are members of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Psychotherapists at Brainworks provide counselling intervention, consultation, and assessment services to clients.
Ruth Wilgress, BA, RP, ExAT
Ruth joined Brainworks in 2018 as a Registered Psychotherapist in the Gravenhurst and Muskoka region, providing counselling intervention, consultation and assessment to clients. Ruth’s goal is to gently guide clients towards moving forward in their own healing process and feeling empowered in their lives.
Shelley Taylor, PhD., RP
Shelley’s background on the study of human behaviour allows her to explain what motivates a person’s behaviour and blend that with evidence-based psychotherapy to help modify that behaviour. Her calm and empathetic approach with clients, along with her broad life experiences, allow her to relate to others and understand different age groups and cultural differences that may impact the therapeutic relationship.
