Rehabilitation Therapist : Bracebridge, Gravenhurst and Muskoka

Position Summary
Brainworks is an award-winning medical rehabilitation firm currently celebrating our 15th year of service.   We offer psychological, neuropsychological, social work and rehabilitation therapy services in client homes & communities, via travelling clinic and in office.

To meet the growing demand for our services in the near north, we are currently looking for a part-time / casual rehabilitation therapist to join our team serving within Bracebridge, Gravenhurst and Muskoka.  As a Rehabilitation Therapist at Brainworks, you will implement individualized community-based rehabilitation programs which are clinically directed and supervised by regulated health care professionals. Treatment services are goal-orientated and focused on optimizing cognitive, behavioural, functional and psychological rehabilitation.

Rehabilitation Therapists provide one-to-one therapeutic intervention and support to                           clients of all ages and with varying levels of ability and disability. Most clients have sustained serious injuries in motor vehicle collisions, in military duty trauma or at work. Clients may be living with brain injuries, chronic pain, post-traumatic stress, or struggling to cope in the face of acquired disability. Relevant experience and diploma/degree in social services, health or education required.

In this region, services are typically provided in client homes and relevant community locations. Therefore, local travel will be required. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. Candidates need to be highly motivated, compassionate and able to follow direction. Candidates must be able to work as part of a team, as well as work well independently. Clinical, administrative and IT support is on hand for all team members.
