Working from a client-centred perspective our Academic Support Services are designed to meet individual learning needs. By providing guidance in an encouraging environment, clients will develop effective study skills and strategies to influence their learning and foster academic achievement.

Through its Academic Support Services, Brainworks will provide individuals with opportunities to succeed with their studies regardless of ability or disability. Our vision is to provide students with opportunities to attain personal goals by identifying and understanding their needs and learning styles.

Brainworks’ Academic Support Services staff are all trained and experienced professionals, some of whom are certified by the Ontario College of Teachers.

Brainworks Staff

Working on a one-to-one basis Academic Support Staff will:

  • Assess and evaluate client progress
  • Identify client strengths and needs regarding school and learning
  • Support the client in developing realistic and attainable goals
  • Implement strategies to meet client goals
  • Teach transferable skills
  • Assess and evaluate client progress
  • Make recommendations for further service
  • Provide in-class and after-school support
  • Day-care, grade school & high school support
